1st May 2020

Wow, we are already in May. I can’t believe how time is passing!

Eliza Barnes, in Miss McGough’s class, has shared her beautiful design for a sea creature. She has thought very carefully about its features. Amazing Eliza, I hope you enjoyed making it.

Next week, we were due to be celebrating VE Day in school. The celebrations, unfortunately, will not be quite the same as planned. So let’s brighten up our blog with some lovely artwork to commemorate VE Day and our armed forces!

How about designing and making some medals and deciding what they could be given for?

Take inspiration from Laurence Stephen Lowry, who painted this picture to commemorate the last VE Day 1945.

The Royal British Legion are producing ‘Tommy in your window’ (see below). Why don’t you have a go at making a ‘Tommy’of your own?

I’m sure you will have lots of ideas of your own. I look forward to seeing all your artwork.
